Recent run of activity in the NW London enclave included the off-market letting of a £20k pw mansion.
An international family has secured a particularly fine rental option in St John’s Wood, PrimeResi hears, as the NW London neighbourhood continues to draw HNW buyers and tenants.
The detached nine-bed on Avenue Road – which was asking £20k per week – is arranged over four floors and set behind a carriage driveway. There’s a trio of large reception rooms, independent staff accommodation, a gym, garage and off-street parking for multiple cars, as well as a sizeable private garden.
Boutique agency Phillips Harrod said it had handled the long-let transaction entirely off-market, calling it a “particularly special deal”. The team has also let high-end residences on nearby Circus Road, Marlborough Place and Queen’s Grove in what it described as a “flurry” of activity despite some tough conditions.

The latest LonRes data on Prime London’s rental market shows almost one in eight properties let across prime London so far this year have commanded more than £100k a year, putting them outside the assured tenancy regime introduced under the Renters’ Rights Act.
